The Middleton Education Association works collaboratively to provide teachers and educators with a voice in the Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District. Our aim is to ensure that they feel professionally supp
orted and equipped to educate every student. MEA does not only organize for professional progress, we organize socially to show appreciation and recognition of the amazing work being done each and every day!
WEAC Region 6 is a regional organization that creates opportunities for local unions to empower their members to attain everything they want to achieve in their careers and their classrooms. A union’s strength is in its numbers, and WEAC Region 6 brings together almost 5,000 education employees in 80 local unions in southern and southwestern Wisconsin to provide professional assistance and expertise that local leaders and members can use for community organizing, local advocacy, professional development, member representation, legal advice and collective bargaining. Through Region 6 and WEAC, MEA gets access to expert advice and guidance to help us empower you.
When you join MEA, you join WEAC, who believes that together we can keep Wisconsin at the forefront of quality and innovation in public education. Whether it is school funding reform, health care reform, licensure and professional development, working together to close achievement gaps or organizing for fairer contracts – educators are strongest when we stand together. And when educators stand together, we make life better for all of Wisconsin’s residents by championing efforts to protect children and the promise of public education.
When you join the NEA, you join the largest labor union in the country. With the NEA, you join others who work to ensure that educators and students have a stronger voice. Go here to see how NEA members created real change for educators, students, and communities.
